Stretch the window from three years to five and Korea's unbroken-profit share falls from 45.3% to 37.7%
Of 2,049 Korean listed companies that filed a net profit in all five years from 2021 to 2025, 772 were profitable in every one. The same test over 2023–2025 passes 1,072 of 2,368 — the count moves with the window.
11.7% of Japanese listed filers reported a net loss. In Korea the figure is 38.2%
