Analysts cut target prices on HYBE, YG and JYP in October. All 15 reports still said Buy

Korean brokers published 15 reports on the four big K-pop agencies between 2 and 22 October 2026. Seven lowered the target price, none raised it, and every one rated the stock Buy. JYP's targets fell from 60,000 and 65,000 won to 50,000.

Where the targets now sit

Company Lowest target Highest target
HYBE 260,000 (LS) 320,000 (Sangsangin)
YG Entertainment 56,000 (Yuanta) 63,000 (three brokers)
JYP Ent. 50,000 50,000
SM Entertainment 110,000 (Eugene) 120,000 (SK)

A Buy that stays a Buy

Cutting a target by a third and keeping the Buy rating is normal in Korean research. In our wider count, not one of 728 reports over a month said Sell (as KOSPI slid in October, analysts cut more targets than they raised). A rating here is closer to a default than a call. The target price is where the opinion actually moves.

The same weeks were good for the sector on the market: the KOSPI entertainment index rose 6.9% in October while the KOSPI fell 19% (details). Analysts cut while prices held up.
