The company with the most broker attention going into Korea’s results week is not a memory maker. Samsung Electro-Mechanics, which reports on Wednesday 28 October, drew six company reports in our broker list for the month to 23 October. SK hynix and Samsung Electronics drew four each (the week’s full count).
Three of the six were short comments written the day the company filed something.

The filings behind the notes
Our daily archive of DART filings, the Korean disclosure system, holds four single sales or supply contract filings by Samsung Electro-Mechanics since September: on 1 September, 29 September, 6 October and 19 October. The archive misses some days, so four is a floor.
The broker notes followed the filings. iM and Meritz wrote on 29 September, the day iM and IBK described as a capacity-expansion filing. iM and Meritz wrote again on 20 October, the trading day after the 19 October filing, both titled as comments on a package-substrate order.
Package substrates, including FC-BGA, are the boards that carry high-end chips such as AI processors. Four of the six reports name them in the title.
What the list cannot tell
iM’s 29 September report lists a prior target of 600,000 won and a new one of 2,100,000, a jump of 250%. Every later report sits between 1.75 and 2.3 million. The list does not say when the 600,000 target was set, so we do not read the jump as one decision.
Across the 28 companies reporting this week, the target-change tape shows 11 cuts and 9 raises. Samsung Electro-Mechanics had none of the cuts.
Six reports from four brokers is a small sample. These are published targets, not forecasts.
