A Korean broker report almost always says Buy (why the Sell has vanished). So the information is in the target price, and in whether the analyst moved it. Here is what each house did with its targets over one month, from the list behind our target-change tape.

The month in one table

The list holds 710 reports dated 28 September to 23 October 2026: 313 on single companies, 183 on industries, 177 on the market and 37 others. Of the 313 company reports, 281 carried a target price. A change can only be counted when the list also gives a prior target: that is 222 reports.

Three different habits

Daishin cut. Of the 16 targets it could compare with a prior, it cut 10, or 63%.

Yuanta held. Of 45, it left 27 unchanged, or 60%, and cut only 5.

Hanwha raised. Of 14, it raised 9, or 64%. Several of Hanwha’s raises start from priors well below other brokers’ targets for the same company (Kia and Hyundai Mobis are two). The list does not date a prior, so a big raise may close a gap that built up over more than one quarter.

The house habits are not a ranking. A broker that covers chemicals in a month when chemicals fell will cut more than one that covers banks. We did not adjust for coverage, and the samples are small: below 20 comparable targets for five of the ten houses that set targets.

Two publishers that do not set targets

Woori Bank published 18 reports, all on foreign exchange. Korea IR Council published 20 company reports and gave a target on one.

Why the denominator matters

“Analysts cut 69 targets” is true. It is 69 of 222 comparable targets, not 69 of 710 reports. Leaving out the reports with no target, or no prior, makes any share look larger than it is.

This counts what brokers published. It is statistics about research, not a judgment of any analyst or company.
