The distance to the price
Against the 29 October close of 232,000 won:
| Target (won) | × price | |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest (IBK) | 350,000 | 1.51 |
| Median | 490,000 | 2.11 |
| Highest (Yuanta) | 690,000 | 2.97 |
Before results, the twelve brokers in our Samsung company file had a median latest target of 515,000 won. Even at the 23 September close of 285,500, the highest in our record, that was 1.80 times the price.
Samsung’s common shares were 27.5% of KOSPI’s market value going into results (the weighing), so how its targets are read matters for anyone holding a Korea index fund too.
